Book Style // Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard (Evangeline Samos)

It’s time for another edition of Book Style! We’re revisiting Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard once again. This time creating a look inspired by Evangeline Samos, the winner of the Queenstrial.

Book Style // The Girl With All the Gifts by M.R. Carey

I’ve been thinking about The Girl with All the Gifts by M.R. Carey for a while. Mostly, because I have a rental from iTunes sitting on my account waiting for me to watch it. Anyway, without watching the movie, I tried to imagine what the characters might wear, and this is what I cameContinue reading “Book Style // The Girl With All the Gifts by M.R. Carey”

Book Style // Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard (Mareena Titanos)

I am really drawn into the characters from Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, and one of the big scenes that got me for the main character was when she’s first introduced as Mareena Titanos.

Book Style // Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard (Queen Elara)

I’ve always had a bit of a thing for villains. After I finished reading Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, I couldn’t stop thinking about King Tiberius and Queen Elara. She’s a character who I am definitely afraid of, but I am sure has some wicked style. After all, she is the Queen. I put togetherContinue reading “Book Style // Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard (Queen Elara)”

Book Style // Rose Under Fire by Elizabeth Wein

I loved Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein so much that I couldn’t wait to read Rose Under Fire. The companion was just as inspiring as Code Name Verity was and I styled this outfit based on the enchanting main character and her time in Ravensbruck.

Book Style // Lily and the Octopus by Steven Rowley

When a book makes me laugh and cry as much as Lily and the Octopus by Steven Rowley, I can’t help but keep thinking about it. So I came up with this outfit inspired by the plot of this beautiful and poignant book about the love between a man and his dog.

Book Style // Under the Wide and Starry Sky by Nancy Horan

I love historical fiction! This fictionalized account of the romance between Robert Louis Stevenson and his American wife, Fanny van de Grift Osbourne, in Nancy Horan’s Under the Wide and Starry Sky was a great read. Drenched with detail and incredibly atmospheric, it begged to be styled into an outfit.

Book Style // Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell (Eleanor)

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell was an impulse buy for me.  I wasn’t sure that I would like it but I was immediately taken in by the misfit protagonists. So naturally, I couldn’t help but style this outfit based on the description of Eleanor.

Book Style // Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll

In Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll, TifAni “Ani” FaNelli is a woman who appears to have everything. She’s engaged to a successful man, she’s got a job at a top fashion magazine, and the wedding of the year is about to happen. But her perfect life is a perfect lie. In reading Jessica Knoll’s debutContinue reading “Book Style // Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll”
