Book Style // Jonathan Unleashed by Meg Rosoff

A look for dog lovers and book lovers! This beautiful look is inspired by the plot of Jonathan Unleashed by Meg Rosoff and it is perfect for a day out walking man’s best friend. Read more to find out about the pieces in this collection.

For this look I started with a functional pair of Stella McCartney Flared Jeans and paired it with an être cécile Dog Face Stripe T-Shirt.

For warmer weather I added the Anine Bing Cropped Moto Jacket. This jacket could also be a great staple piece in a wardrobe. For a pair of functional shoes I picked a pair of PAOLO IANTORNO Giovanna Dip Dyed Nappa Leather Ballerina Flat.

To add some functionality I added a Red Wool Felt 3″ Wide Brim Floppy Hat to keep the sun out of your eyes. So you can still carry all your essentials, I chose the Women’s Loewe ‘Lost Dog – Medium T’ Calfskin Leather Crossbody Pouch which is ideal for holding your ID.

To accessorize this look I selected the Alex And Ani ‘Charity By Design – Prints Of Love’ Bangle and a Silver-Plated ” Dachshund” Pendant Necklace.

As a final touch, paint your nails in OPI Big Apple Red Nail Lacquer.

The Book That Inspired the Look

27774717National Book Award finalist and bestselling author Meg Rosoff’s charming, hilarious new novel about a young New Yorker’s search for happiness and the two dogs who help him find it—the perfect summer read

Jonathan Trefoil’s boss is unhinged, his relationship baffling, and his apartment just the wrong side of legal. His girlfriend wants to marry someone just like him—only richer and with a different sense of humor. He doesn’t remember life being this confusing, back before everyone expected him to act like a grown-up.

When his brother asks him to look after his dogs, Jonathan’s world view begins to shift. Could a border collie and a cocker spaniel hold the key to life, the universe, and everything? Their sly maneuvering on daily walks and visits to the alluring vet suggest that human emotional intelligence may not be top dog after all.

A funny, wise romantic comedy set in Manhattan, Jonathan Unleashed is a story of tangled relationships, friendships, and dogs. Rosoff’s novel is for anyone wondering what to be when they grow up, and how on earth to get there.
